I am honored to be selected as one of the top 100 wedding photographers of the year with both WPJA and ISPWP in 2019, and also one of the top 10 of the year by the Master of Wedding Photography North American. The following are the introductions of these three associations
What is WPJA？
“The Wedding Photojournalist Association® (WPJA) exists to accredit and promote the expertise of wedding photographers who deploy reportage-style, documentary-style, or wedding photojournalism authenticity to tell the story of two people making the most important commitment of their lives.
Two people making a commitment of marriage want to remember the day for the rest of their lives. Shouldn’t the wedding photography that commemorates their celebration reflect the personal moments and honest emotions they will remember?
A love for authenticity in wedding photography — finding art in the actualities of a marriage celebration — led to the founding of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) in 2002. Out of respect for our clients, the wedding photographers and photojournalists accepted for WPJA membership have a demonstrated talent for candid originality and a dedication to the documentary approach in wedding photography. To maintain their standing in the WPJA, member photographers must adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards." -WPJA
What is the ISPWP?
“The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers is an organization of the best wedding photographers in the world. It was created by professional photographers to raise the standards of the wedding photography profession.
We are a resource for wedding clients who know they want to hire the best and the brightest for their wedding. When you hire an ISPWP member, you are hiring one of the most respected, professional, and talented wedding photographers in the industry.
There are many online directories of wedding photographers. Some of them have hundreds, even thousands of photographers. That sounds great because there are so many to choose from! But most of these directories have little or no criteria for membership, they are simply paid advertising links that may include photographers with zero experience and unknown backgrounds who have simply paid the directory's advertising fee.
Each and every ISPWP member has passed a rigorous application process and is recognized by their peers to be at the top of their field” -ISPWP
What is the Master of Wedding photography North America
"The Masters of Wedding Photography is a photo competition for the best wedding photography in North America. In januari 2018 the Masters started a contest just for the USA, Canada and Mexico, to bring local brides and grooms together with the best wedding photographers of North America. An international jury presents new awards to the best, most exceptional and innovative wedding photos every three months. Have a look and get inspired!" -Master of Wedding photography North America
